Technical Onboarding: SSO Set Up

This article provides information on the steps that are required to integrate SSO into your Pacvue user experience. Inquire with your Pacvue contact or Technical Onboarding Manager to initiate the SSO set up process.

Follow these set up instructions for setting up for setting SSO for common SSO applications such as Entra, Auth0, JumpCloud, OneLogin, etc. Have your IT team follow the below steps.

Step 1: Provide your Login URLYour IT team should retrieve your organization's SSO Login URL from your identity provider (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, etc.) and share it with us.Client
Step 2: Create a Client ID for PacvueYour IT team should then create a new application/client in your SSO provider specifically for Pacvue. This process will generate a Client ID, which you'll also need to send to us. There might be other information such as client secret that may be produced (depending on provider), please also send this information to Pacvue.Client
Step 3: Provide SSO information to Pacvue.Please send us both the Login URL (from Step 1) and the Client ID (from Step 2).Client
Step 4: Receive Redirect URL from PacvueThe URL will look something like this: https://product.pacvue.com/loginoauth/[client name]Pacvue
Step 5: Configure Redirect URL  in SSO Provider.Your IT team should configure this Redirect URL in your SSO provider for the Pacvue application created in Step 2.Client
Step 6: Use SSO login URL

Going forward users will log in via the SSO Login URL

User Login Flow

Once SSO is set-up, users in your Pacvue account will have the following login experience:

  1. Users will go to a Pacvue-specific SSO login URL.
  2. Users will click on the platform that they need to access. They will be directed to your organization's SSO application login URL.
  3. After successfully logging in, your SSO provider will redirect them back to Pacvue with a token.
  4. Pacvue uses that token to authenticate the user and grant access
